Uppinangady: A bullet tanker filled with liquefied petroleum gas rolled off the road on NH-75 of Uppinangady on Mangaluru-Bengaluru highway on 1st August Monday, where both the driver and cleaner received minor injuries The tragedy caused the disturbance of movement of traffic on this stretch for more than six hours.
The injureds driver has been identified as Lohanathan (32) and cleaner as Bajji Balakrishnan. Both suffered from minor injuries. The incident took place when driver accidentally lost control over the vehicle near Biliyur curve when it was on the way towards Bengaluru from Mangaluru.
As the information was received, Police and the fire personnel rushed to the spot and clarified that there was no leakage of gas.
