Bhatkal: Social worker Mastappa Naik Balse has extended financial assistance of ₹3 lakh to families affected by the recent Shirali river tragedy that claimed 11 lives.

Balse visited the bereaved families and distributed ₹25,000 each to ten affected families. He also donated ₹50,000 for the education of two children who were orphaned after losing both parents in the incident.

Calling for a thorough investigation into the tragedy, Balse urged philanthropists, cooperative institutions and donors to come forward and support the affected families. He assured continued efforts to assist the victims and seek justice for them.
