Bhatkal: A heavy boulder is becoming dangerously loose and posing danger to the nearby houses in Ekigoli coming under Muttali grama panchayat limit. Huge chunks of mud and rockfalls are about to descend on the nearby houses because of continous rainfall from the past few weeks.

The locals nearby want to evacuate their houses because the mud from mountain are making its way to their houses. 

Tahsildar VN Badkar inspected the area and requested the IRB company to help them in removing the boulders from the mountains. When IRB company did a thorough investigation of the vulnerable mountain, they briefed that it might be dangerous to dismantle the rocks. Even Zilla Panchayath engineer gave the same opinion.

In a fresh report, it is learnt that a private company has approved the tender to crush down the boulders.
