Mangaluru: A woman tried to attempt suicide at the famous Someshwar beach but the timely intervention of lifeguards saved her life.

According to the sources, a woman from Thokattu reportedly jumped into the Arabian sea near the famous Someshwar beach with an intention to kill herself. Seeing this, the people present on the shore shouted for help. The lifeguards on duty with Panambur Tourism Development Project swiftly dived into the water and saved her life. 

It is learnt that the woman thanked the rescuers for saving her life and vowed never to attempt such drastic step.
