Bhatkal: The world's first moving railway hospital ‘Life Line Express’ arrived at Bhatkal Railway station to provide its services to the Uttara Kannada district from August 1 to 21st August.
Project manager Vaibhav Gupta has urged the masses to benefit from this oportunity since the train has excellent medical facilities and experienced doctors. Free treatment along with food and accommodation will also be provided to the patients.
The moving hospital is well-equipped with two operation theatres which has five operating tables. The patients availing treatment should fill a request form available at government hospital.
It is learnt that the mobile train is equipped with new technologies and professionals medical experts. Wide range of treatments are available and different days are scheduled for different ailment diagnosis.
Bhatkal tahsildar V N Badkar has notified that people should first undergo a preliminary medical examination at Bhatkal government hospital given as per the dates as follows: Eyes will be tested from August 2 to August 4 at government hospital and surgeries will be conducted from August 2 to August 9 at lifeline express. Cleft lips will be examined on August 10 and August 11 followed by related surgeries from August 11 to August 13. Bone ailments will be examined on August 10 and 11 followed by orthopaedic surgeries from August 11 to August 13.
Ear, nose and throat will be examined from August 14 to August 16 and related surgeries will be conducted from August 15 to August 21. Dental treatments will be held between August 8 and August 14. Patients suffering from seizures will be examined from August 19 to August 21.
It is also reported that lectures will be held at surrounding schools and college about dental protection and treatments and training will be provided to the doctors of government hospitals.
