Mangaluru: A fishing boat capsized in Arabian sea near Ullal beach on Saturday afternoon.

It is reported that three fishermen, Manex (46), Kumar(30) and Chandan(40) were returning to shore after fishing when their fish-laden boat capsized in the sea because of strong winds. Fayyaz, a 32-year-old social worker and Rameez both jumped into the waters to save the fishermen and managed to bring Manex to the shore. When they were searching for Kumar, Fayyaz hit his head to the rock and succumbed to the injuries en route to the hospital. 

The Indian Coast Guards started the rescue operation and thus saved Kumar. But the fisherman Chandran was drowned in the sea and is reportedly missing. 

A case has been registered at Ullal police station.
