Bhatkal: A free medical camp was held at Alvekodi under the aegis of Shri Durga Parameshwari temple in collaboration with the Shri Durga Devi charitable trust and Shri Durga Parameshwari Maari Jatra Mahotsav Samiti.

The camp was held at Durga Parameshwari hall at Alvekodi on August 1 where the professional doctors of Kasturba Medical College visited and diagnosed ailments.

General medicine, orthopaedic, cardiologic, ENT, dental and many other check-ups were undertaken. More than 500 individuals benefitted from the camp.

At the inaugural ceremony earlier, the temple adminstrator Narayan Daimane,  president of Maari Jatra  Samiti Rama Moger addressed the gathering. Timappa Honmane, Arvind Pai, Hanumanth Naik, KMC doctor Herbert Pereira, Dr Deepak and Dr. Anand Deep were present.
