Mangaluru: In a heartwrenching incident, a 9-year old girl died after her head banged against the electric pole when she put her head out of the window of the school bus on Friday, July 8. The incident took place at Sarbathkatte in Yeyyadi.

The deceased has been identified as Bhavani (9), daughter of Sudha, a resident of Jyotinagar and a fourth standard student of Srinivas Lower Primary School at V T Road.

According to the police sources, Bhavani put her head outside the window while she was returning home and within moments, she hit against an electric pole and died on the spot. 

Mangaluru East traffic police arrived at the spot. Her body has been shifted to a private hospital and a case have been registered.
