Udupi: A 42-year-old pillion rider lost her life in a accident that took place near Nitte when the bike she was on skidded off the road on Friday.

The victim, Mallika Shetty, tragically succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.

A case had been registered at Karkala Rural Station.
