Bhatkal: Power supply will be temporarily disrupted in several areas of Bhatkal and Honnavar taluks on March 11 and 12, Wednesday and Thursday, due to maintenance work on a high-tension transmission line by the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL).

According to a press release issued by Hubli Electricity Supply Company Limited (HESCOM), emergency replacement of jumpers will be carried out at four locations along the Honnavar–Bhatkal 110 kV power line.

In view of the maintenance work, power supply to consumers in Honnavar and Bhatkal taluks will remain affected from 1:30 pm to 4:00 pm on March 11 (Wednesday) and March 12 (Thursday).

The release stated that electricity supply will be temporarily suspended during the repair work and consumers have been requested to cooperate and take necessary precautions.
