Two Bajrang Dal activists held for setting KSRTC bus on fire

Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada district police have arrested two Bajrang Dal activists in connection with setting up a KSRTC bus on fire, in Nellikatte village, in Puttur, on November 12, 2015.

The arrested have been identified as Jayanth K P (28) and T K Prajwal, (21) from Balnad, Puttur, working as materials fabricators

KSRTC depot officials in their complaint has  stated that manual tickets worth Rs 25,516 were kept in the bus was reduced to ashes.

It is reported that the duo torched the vehicle to create tension in the district on the night before the bandh which was staged to condemn the death of Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Kuttappa in Madikeri.

Jayanth was arrested on Friday and on interrogation, spilled that the person arrested by Sullia police in connection with an attempt to murder case on Thursday, Prajwal was his accomplice in the act.
