Karwar: Deputy Commissioner SS Nakul has stated that the Seabird Naval base and District Administration and thinking to create jobs opportunities in the naval base for local people.
Speaking after inaugurating an orientation programme on ‘Career in the Indian Navy’ at the Government Arts and Science College here on Monday, he stated that people in Karwar and Ankola taluks should not feel that they are displaced due to the naval base, as discussion with the naval base officials is on to provide job opportunities for local people.
Educational qualifications
Indian Navy has a variety of job opportunities, and youth can get jobs there as per their educational qualifications, Mr Nakul said.
College Principal Kalpana Keravadikar stated that working with defence forces brings a lot of respect, as it is a great opportunity to serve the nation.
