Mundgod: The police has arrested seven people in connection with the robbery at a house on Sirsi road and has retrieved goods worth 2 lakhs from the robbers.

As per the sources, a gang consisting of Ibrahim Noor Ahmed Sheikh, Basheer Ahmed Qasim Sab, Kareem Himmat Khan, Rabbani Mehboob Saab, Mulk Jan Shabbir Ahmed, Saleem Sarwar Khan were arrested by the police. Reports say that a teenage boy was also one of the accused but the police have refused to divulge his name. 

The robbery had taken place on 8th August at a teacher Narayan Ishwar's house located on Sirsi road when nobody was present at home. The thieves had looted gold jewelleries along with various household items. 

The police wer able to nab the culprits when they were trying to sell the ornaments at Hubli.
