Kundapur: A bike rider was killed on the spot in a grisly road accident, when a gas tanker hit a bike near Haladi circle in Kundapur taluka limits on 11th August, Thursday. 

The deceased has been identified as Chandra Madival (40), a resident of Haladi. 

It has been reported that the incident took place when Chandra was returning back from his in-laws at Yadmakhi to his native Haladi. The speedy tanker approaching from opposite side collided with the driver killing him on the spot. 

According to the information received, deceased Chandra Madival worked as the ice supplier early morning and use to run a fast food center in the evening. He is survived by his wife and two children, a daughter and a son. 

A case has been registered in Shankarnarayan police station.
