Byndoor: A man was arrested for transporting cattles in Tata Sumo from Uppunda to Byndoor in Udupi district and three cattles were confiscated from the vehicle.

The accused have been identified as Krishna Moger, the driver of the Tata Sumo.

Sources say, Krishna was transporting the animals when a team of Gau rakshaks, based on suspicion, stopped the vehicle near Byndoor bypass. He was handed over to the police. A member of Gau rakshak group Subramanya Bijoor has filed a complaint against the driver. 

Upon police investigation, the driver has disclosed the name of Daniel Lobo. A complaint has been filed against Lobo under anti cow slaughter law, based on the information divulged by the driver.

Station House Officer Santosh Anand Kaikini is investigating the case.
