Karwar: Ernakulam-Pune Superfast train was welcomed at Karwar on Tuesday, when it stopped for the first time.

Earlier, this train had stoppages at Madagaon and Udupi only. On Tuesday, Komarpanth community leaders and BJP workers welcomed the train when it stopped at Karwar railway station. 

Train No 22149 stops at Karwar station at 5:04 pm on every Tuesday and Friday, and it reaches Pune at 10:30 am the next day. In the return direction, train No 22150 departs Pune Junction at 6:45 pm on every Sunday and Wednesday, and it stops at Karwar at 8:10 am the next day.
