Ankola: Two people were killed while the other two seriously injured in a grisly road accident that took place between passenger auto rickshaw and a lorry near  Hattigeri NH-66 of Ankola.

The deceased has been identified as auto driver Ullas Davade (24), resident of Gabitakeni was killed instantly on the spot whilst passenger Amaravati Ankolekar(65) succumbed to her injuries on the way to Karwar hospital. 

The victims who sustained serious injuries have been identified as Kusuma Ramesh Sagekar (40) and Rohan Ramesh Sagekar (13). Both were taken to Ankola government hospital for treatment.

A case has been registered against lorry driver MK Jayananthan in Ankola police station and further investigations are on.
