Karwar: District in-charge Minister RV Deshpande has declared that 36 crores have been sanctioned to construct the mini Vidhana Saudha in 7 taluks of the Uttara kannada district. 

Chairing the meeting at the Deputy Commissioner's office in Karwar, he said the mini Vidhana Saudha will be constructed within a year. Further he said that 5 crores will be spent to construct the Saudha at Karwar, Siddapur, Joida and Honnavar,;3 crores at Yellapur and Haliyal and 10 crores alone in Bhatkal taluk. 

He also added that the constructions have started in many taluks and instructed the officers to keep an eye on the proceedings and frequently inspect the ongoing activities.  

A modern district complex with state-of-the-art facilities at the cost of 25 crores will soon be started in the district. The expenditure sheet and the blueprint has been sent to the government. It will be started as soon as it gets the seal of approval, he said.
