Non-stop government bus service launched between Puttur and Mangaluru; free travel for women continues

Mangaluru: A new non-stop government bus service has been launched between Puttur and Mangaluru. This service is expected to greatly benefit passengers looking for faster and more efficient travel without intermediate stops.

The service was inaugurated at the Puttur bus stand by MLA Ashok Kumar Rai, who flagged off the first bus. Flowers were distributed to passengers to mark the beginning of the service.

According to officials, seven buses will operate daily between Puttur and Mangaluru, completing a total of 29 trips. The service is non-stop and will allow passengers to reach their destination in significantly less time. Importantly, the free travel benefit for women under the Shakti scheme will also apply to these buses, and all types of travel passes will be valid.

The launch event was attended by Bharat Mundodi, president of the district guarantee committee, and other dignitaries.
