Bhatkal girl Hajira Aifa tops B.Sc final exams in Mangaluru with first rank

Bhatkal: Bhatkal girl Hajira Aifa, daughter of Abdul Salam Ruknuddin, has brought laurels to the community by securing first rank in the B.Sc final examinations held in Mangaluru under Yenepoya University. With an impressive aggregate of 99.4 percent, Hajira has showcased exceptional academic brilliance and set an inspiring example for students across the region.

Hajira excelled with 100 percent marks in Advanced EMG (Theory) and Clinical Neuroscience Technology-IV (Practical), while scoring 99 percent each in three other theory subjects. Out of more than 800 candidates from different states of India who appeared under Yenepoya University, Hajira stood out, making her parents and the entire Bhatkal community proud.

Her journey of excellence began at Anjuman Azad Primary School, where she consistently displayed outstanding academic skills. In the SSLC examination, she scored 96.48 percent, emerging as the topper at Anjuman, for which she was honored with the ‘Dukhtar-e-Anjuman’ title and the Rabita Gold Medal Award in 2018–19.

Continuing her remarkable streak, Hajira scored centum in English, Hindi, Physics, Mathematics, and Biology in the PUC II examinations while studying at Anjuman Pre-University College for Women, Bhatkal. Pursuing higher studies at the Yenepoya School of Allied Health Sciences, Mangaluru, she once again proved her mettle with an unmatched performance.

Beyond academics, Hajira has also made her mark in extracurricular activities, showcasing her talent in various college programs and excelling in sports, particularly badminton.

Hajira belongs to a respected family, being the daughter of Abdul Salam Ruknuddin, an executive member of Majlis-e-Islah wa Tanzeem, Bhatkal, the century-old and largest social organization of Uttara Kannada.

Her remarkable achievement has drawn accolades from community leaders. Tanzeem President Inayatullah Shabandri, Vice President Atiqur Rahman Muniri, and General Secretary Abdul Raqeeb MJ Nadvi congratulated Hajira and her family, praising her hard work and wishing her a bright and successful future.
